Web Development by Alistair Robinson

What I do

I design and build web sites and web applications. I love what I do, and this means that all my work is high quality. I pay close attention to the most modern standards and best practices of web development, and everything I produce is hand-crafted for my clients. I relish the dichotomy at the heart of this kind of work: I continually seek out ways of working faster, but I'm an uncompromising perfectionist.

I do content management, e-commerce, search engine optimization as standard, and integration of your photos, videos, blogs, and tweets.

With around ten years' experience in the web, I can turn my hand to many problems, from setting up a product inventory system for your online shop to creating animations and rich interactivity for your web pages. Get in touch to find out more »

quotesAlistair, you have done a fantastic job in scoping, communicating and implementing the project. I would definitely recommend you to to others and I look forward to working with you again in the future. Thank you.
quotesI want to say thank you so much. As a graphic designer I couldn't do all the web development myself, and you were a lifesaver. We are really pleased with your work, and will definitely count on you for new projects. Your friendliness and professionalism are outstanding.
quotesI am absolutely delighted with the website. The quality of the finished product is excellent, and Alistair managed to turn my requirements into reality without any fuss or hassle.

quotesOur 2009 seminars were an amazing success thanks to Alistair's brilliant work. The booking system and the online attendees' questionnaire were perfect, and Invision Your Life has become a big name all over Vancouver Island thanks to his SEO work.
quotesAlistair is extremely dedicated, professional and creative. He helped me see what it was I needed from the website. I'm really looking forward to working with him on the next stage.

The WordPress White Screen of Death

This is the kind of thing that happens out of nowhere when you’re in the middle of finishing off something simple, and sends you into a rage shouting “What the fucking hell…this is just bizarre!” and so on, until you finally fix it by fiddling about intuitively, and then just … read on »

You Might Like to Try…

I haven’t been blogging here much because I’ve been doing it over at my philosophy blog, critique-of-pure-reason.com. Go take a look and leave a comment, if you’re into that sort of thing. If you’re here for web development…I really should write something soon. I’ve just launched chop-chop.co.uk, and it’s worth … read on »
